White Oak Elementary School Pre-KindergartenThe White Oak Elementary School Pre-Kindergarten Program is designed to provide high quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness for eligible four year old children. By September 2018, 50% of entering Kindergarten children will demonstrate school readiness as measured by the North Carolina K3 Assessment. Project: the funds from the grant would be used to purchase a partial list of the required furnishings as mandated by the NC Pre-K Program Guidelines for the additional Pre-Kindergarten classroom that would target middleclass poverty families in a rural, low wealth district in northeastern North Carolina. Partners for World HealthPartners for World Health collects discarded medical supplies from US health care facilities in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts and ensures they are distributed to countries in need throughout our world. These medical supplies destined for the landfill are now making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Through a large group of volunteers, PWH Community Service endeavors collect, transport and re process medical supplies and makes them ready for transport to countries in need through container shipments. In addition PWH coordinates Medical Mission trips for medical and non medical individuals to various countries in Africa and Asia. View More
