Detroit PALDetroit PAL's mission, in conjunction with the Detroit Police Department and over 1,500 trained adult volunteers, is to build character in 11,000 at-risk, low-income, disadvantaged Detroit area youth (ages 4-19) through through athletic and leadership programs. The organization is guided by three Global Goals for Youth: 1.) Participants of high character (Respect, Responsibility, Appreciation of Diversity, Teamwork and Leadership); 2.)
