Alex Buffett Rozek

Alexander Buffett Rozek is Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of Boston Omaha Corporation, a public holding company with businesses engaged in several sectors, including advertising, insurance, and real estate.

The majority of Alex’s time volunteering is spent with two entities, the Letters Foundation and the Learning by Giving Foundation. He has been involved with the Learning by Giving Foundation since its inception, and has helped oversee the growth of the program since its first class at Davidson College in 2003.  He has served as the Chair of Learning by Giving’s board of directors since 2011 and also serves as the Chair of the board for Doris Buffett’s Letters Foundation. Learning by Giving and the Letters Foundation are both cornerstones of Doris Buffett’s philanthropy.  Doris has distributed more than $180 million in grants since 1996.

Alex currently serves as a member of the Neuroscience Advisory Council for Brigham & Women’s Hospital.  He is a long time supporter of the Red Sox Scholars Program and a regular rider and fundraiser for the Pan-Mass Challenge. In the past, he worked closely with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and New England Eye to start the Boston Senior Oral Health Program.

Alex graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, where he also played football, (but not that much because he was a walk on).
